About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - AI/LLM with deep expertise in building, optimizing, and deploying AI-powered solutions using large language models (LLMs). This role requires a blend of strong technical leadership, hands-on development, and client-facing communication skills to deliver cutting-edge AI solutions at scale.

As a senior engineer, you will drive the design and implementation of LLM-based applications, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with clients to architect and deploy AI solutions that meet business needs. You will also influence strategic AI decisions, optimize model performance, and ensure scalability and efficiency in real-world applications.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and optimization of AI/LLM applications and pipelines.
Architect scalable AI systems that efficiently integrate LLMs into client workflows.
Fine-tune and optimize LLMs (e.g., GPT, Gemini, Llama) to enhance performance and accuracy.
Develop scalable APIs and backend services for AI-powered features.
Improve inference performance and cost-efficiency using best-in-class model deployment strategies.
Ensure AI solutions adhere to compliance, security, and ethical AI principles.
Engage with clients to define AI strategies, assess business challenges, and deliver tailored solutions.
Clearly communicate AI/ML concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a strong AI engineering culture.
Collaborate with product, data science, and ML teams to drive innovation and optimize AI workflows.
Contribute to AI thought leadership by staying ahead of industry trends and recommending new AI capabilities.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on AI/ML and LLMs.
Expertise in Python for AI/ML development.
Proven experience with API development (FastAPI, Flask, or similar).
Strong database skills (SQL and NoSQL), including vector databases (FAISS, Weaviate, ChromaDB).
Deep understanding of LLM fine-tuning, AI Agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
Extensive experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) for AI model deployment at scale.
Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Familiarity with MLOps best practices, including model monitoring, versioning, and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to lead AI-driven projects from concept to deployment.
Experience engaging with clients, gathering requirements, and translating them into technical solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to AI engineering best practices.
Track record of influencing AI strategy and decision-making in an organization.
